In this review, I will share with you exactly why Radiant is different from most of the AI note-takers I’ve tried before. And believe me, it will be worth your time.

After reading this article, you will have a clear idea about Radiant’s features, pros and cons, and whether this is the right AI tool for your meetings.

What is Radiant?

Radiant is a simple AI-powered personal assistant for Mac users that helps you capture your meetings and execute your next steps. It was developed by Supernormal, a company that builds AI tools to streamline workflows, boost collaboration, and make your daily work more impactful.

It works seamlessly for Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and in-person meetings, without using a bot. Radiant only supports English right now, while it’s in beta, but I’d imagine that will change once it goes into general release.

Radiant goes beyond taking notes on your calls to ensure you finish all your tasks on time. And most importantly, the app processes the audio locally on your device.

Let me break down Radiant’s key features and what it offers Mac users.

Radiant Features

Here, I collected the key features I tried while reviewing Radiant.

Bot-free transcription

When you click on “New Capture”, Radiant will automatically start transcribing your online and in-person meetings. As soon as your mic or audio is live, it works in the background, so no bot is required for transcription.

You will see the widget in the top-right corner, and if you click the red square, you can instantly stop the recording. Also, you can add your notes there and chat about the meeting.

Radiant creates transcripts directly in the app on your Mac after a few minutes, once your meeting is over. The transcription includes timestamps, so you can track who said what.

Based on my experience, Radiant offers highly accurate transcriptions. A quick note to this: you don’t have the option to edit the meeting transcript if something is not correct. Nevertheless, I did not need to edit in my case.

Overall, I was satisfied with the transcription accuracy and the accessibility of this feature, especially given that Radiant is still in beta.

Meeting summaries

Once your call is over, Radiant will share the meeting summary with you, including the action items, key discussion points, and more.

To edit the meeting summaries, just click the section you want to adjust, and you can easily add or remove text.

But the real power of Radiant lies in its unique combination of task management and AI meeting summaries.

Scroll down, and you will see it offers a special alternative for Mac users, both for note-taking and efficient task management.

Follow-up actions

This feature really impressed me the most during testing. This AI-powered app suggests follow-up actions and tasks based on what was said during the meeting.

I found it particularly helpful that on the home screen, you will find all the outstanding tasks from each of your past meetings. You only need to click on the start button, and Radiant will draft an email, schedule a meeting, and more.

As you can see, Radiant has already prepared a draft email for me based on what was discussed during the meeting. If you click continue in Gmail, it will open your Gmail account so you can review and send with one click.

Needless to say, you can do the same with all your integrated tools. The integrations are what set Radiant apart – they’re magic.

Overall, this feature is an absolute game-changer. After testing +20 AI note-takers, I can safely say that no other tools have similar brutally efficient task management features integrated in the app.

AI chat

Another strong feature of Radiant is its AI chat. The fact that you can work with this feature inside your tasks makes it way more efficient and faster than just having a general AI assistant feature. Why?

Above you can see an example. I already started a follow-up action with Radiant (i.e., email drafting), and it provided me with a draft version in a few seconds. Since we are already in the task, Radiant knows the context, and we can avoid unnecessary steps like describing to AI what meeting or task I am talking about, asking what to write in the draft, and more.

Here, you already have the draft; you just need to add your instructions, and boom. You can finalize it in Gmail, Google Calendar, or Notion.

As mentioned, you can use the AI chat for numerous purposes, even if you are not inside a task from one of your previous meetings, but you simply need to get things done. For example, you can ask Radiant to set up a meeting with your team members.

By adding information such as when, with whom, and purpose, Radiant will reconfirm the details with you and direct you to the pre-filled calendar invitation in Google Calendar or Outlook. So, all you need to do is share the meeting event with the participants, and that’s it.

To wrap it up, I found the AI features very impressive during my Radiant app review, and they made my workflows more efficient during testing.

Radiant Integrations

You can connect Radiant with the most popular video conferencing platforms and team collaboration tools like Slack, Notion, ClickUp, and Asana.

Integrating Radiant with other tools you use daily makes this AI meeting assistant very efficient, so I definitely recommend you use this option.

Fortunately, you can easily select the tools you want to use with Radiant, and after this, the AI-powered tool will include the integrated apps among the suggestions for next tasks.

User Interface

Radiant has a user-friendly user interface. On the left side, you can see a breakdown of your meetings by days, and can access the related meeting notes quickly.

Also, you can find the “New Capture” option there, which allows you to automatically capture your meeting that you are participating in.

Ultimately, Radiant has a simple user interface, and you won’t feel overwhelmed even when you are getting started with this AI meeting assistant.

It is a totally free AI-powered meeting assistant to download and use while in beta, so it’s worth downloading and using it now, before they introduce pricing.

My Experience with Radiant

Radiant goes further than just transcribing and summarizing your meetings. It turns conversations into action, with suggestions and tool-ready drafts that reduce manual follow-up.

Therefore, Radiant is not only an AI note-taker for your meetings, but also a task manager app. No other apps in this space have such efficient task management features, even though it is still in beta.

In addition, its AI feature is super useful, and the draft I receive always provides a good starting point. So, based on my personal experience, Radiant’s AI tools are 10/10.

I particularly valued that your meeting data is stored on your device locally, which adds an extra layer of privacy.

While Radiant offers a fresh, new approach to task management, it still has limitations in AI note-taking. For example, it does not record the meeting, lacks an AI analysis feature, and has limited language support.

Overall, I believe Radiant created a sub-niche inside of the AI note-taking space with a pinpoint focus on taking actions after your calls. Personally, I really enjoyed using this AI tool, and I can recommend it to everyone who needs a task-focused AI note-taking app on their Mac.
