You can access Reclaim from any desktop browser. They designed this calendar app for busy teams to improve team collaboration and work-life balance and help you stay organized.

Reclaim helps teams optimize their meetings by scheduling meetings and tasks based on priority level and preference. As your week changes, this adaptive app automatically moves and reschedules calendar events, considering your preferences, due dates, and more.

Reclaim AI aims to take off your shoulders the stress of daily planning meetings. It provides a more intelligent and flexible way to plan your work week.

Ultimately, Reclaim AI helps boost productivity and regain control over your work week by reducing unnecessary meetings, finding empty slots for heads-down work, and defending your habits.

What is Motion?

Motion app review

Motion is an artificial intelligence-based scheduling tool with task and project management features. More than 1 million people use Motion in day-to-day life for better meeting scheduling and task management.

Motion promises to boost people and team productivity by 137%. Sounds pretty massive, right? We will find out soon in this Motion app review whether it was the case for me.

Besides many other use cases, Motion can auto-schedule meetings, synchronize your work and personal calendar, and block time slots for recurring tasks and certain projects. Motion has a web app, desktop, and mobile app.

Motion is more than just a scheduling app. It is more like a productivity tool that works like a personal assistant. Motion combines multiple tools into one app:

  1. Calendar management
  2. Meeting management
  3. Task management app
  4. Project management software

Comparison: Reclaim AI vs Motion

First, I will show you both productivity apps’ features one by one. Second, I will guide you through their user interfaces, integration options, and pricing. Lastly, I will show you the pros and cons of both Motion and Reclaim AI and their alternatives and reveal my pick.

Here, I compare Motion and Reclaim AI, and share six insights you should know before choosing.

Key features

Let’s see the key features of both productivity tools!

Reclaim AI’s features

Let’s see Reclaim AI’s features!

Calendar sync
Reclaim AI's calendar view with the synchronized Google Calendar

While calendar sync is only supported for calendars connected to a Google Calendar, you can share your iCloud or Outlook calendars with Google Calendar to see all your calendar events in one place.

This simplifies your planning and ensures you do not miss any important events. Streamlining your calendar data makes managing work-related commitments, other obligations, and personal engagements easier.

Furthermore, Reclaim AI recently launched the Outlook integration, which will be available soon.

Habits
Reclaim AI's habits feature

Finding time for your habits is challenging on a busy week. However, habits are the foundation of any healthy workweek. And Reclaim AI realized this.

Reclaim AI automatically schedules time for recurring activities, whether jogging, lunch, or focus time. Habits work like any other event in your calendar, but use your preferences, rules, and priorities to determine how and when they should be scheduled.

If the habits get overbooked by another event, Reclaim AI will automatically reschedule to ensure you still get time for the routine.

The first thing to add is your working hours, personal hours, and custom hours. This gives the framework for Reclaim AI to see when it can automatically schedule breaks, meetings, and tasks during your days to avoid meeting fatigue.

Reclaim Ai working hours settings

By setting the rules, Reclaim takes care of finding the perfect time slots for such routines. Besides time blocking of recurring activities, Reclaim AI will stay open to changes and schedule your calendar automatically based on priority level.

You can simply drag and drop the habits between the low and high-priority tasks. For example, if you have a sales call at 11.30 on Friday, Reclaim AI auto-schedule your time block for jogging if it has a lower priority and you do not want to defend this time slot for all costs.

Reclaim AI can keep your schedule flexible by adding a priority level to recurring habits, tasks, and focus time.

In a nutshell, this feature is a great tool to defend time for focused work and help you stay focused while keeping the positive habits that can fuel the following days.

Scheduling links
Reclaim AI's scheduling links feature

Scheduling links allow you to send links to your and your team’s availability, letting others book time across multiple calendars.

Essentially, this is what others will see when scheduling meetings with you.

reclaim AI is a great scheduling tool

You can share high-priority scheduling links that show your recurring tasks, habits, and one-on-one meetings as free time to ensure you can make this meeting happen. Alternatively, you can set up your scheduling links as a normal priority event, and your calendar will show the tasks, habits, no meeting days, etc.

Furthermore, you can add flexible time for the meetings, and the attendees can determine how much time they need and how soon they would like to meet.

Task management
Reclaim AI's task scheduling and management tool

Efficient task management involves more than just writing down a to-do list. Handling multiple tasks and ensuring they are on track demands attention to detail and solid organizational skills. This is where task-tracking apps can give you a hand.

With Reclaim AI, you can integrate your to-do list from a project management app, and it will automatically start making time in your calendar. If you use Slack, the task creation is easier than ever. You can create tasks directly from a Slack message, so you do not need to switch between the two apps.

You can add tasks directly to the calendar, but if you use the task hub, it is much faster; AI will do the scheduling work. When adding a task, you can determine its priority, how much time it will take, when to schedule it, and more. If you click on create, Reclaim AI will schedule the task automatically.

Ultimately, using Reclaim AI will prevent you from constantly juggling tasks and ensure each gets its dedicated time based on priority. It makes Reclaim AI quite a useful tool for boosting your time management skills.

Smart meetings
Reclaim AI's smart meeting tool

This feature helps you automatically find the best time for your recurring meetings across everyone’s schedules so you do not have to deal with scheduling conflicts.

It is a great tool to handle team meetings, one-on-ones, or regular client meetings, for example. To set up a smart meeting, click on the smart meetings on the left, and similarly to the habits, select the duration, priority, ideal time, and frequency.

A quick note here: it also makes sense to add a video link for non-person meetings.

Time tracking and analytics

I appreciate productivity apps that help save time, be more efficient, and allow you to measure the impact. Reclaim did a good job in this matter. You can track focus time, work-life balance trends, buffer time, scheduled meetings, and more.

Additionally, you can track and analyze your team’s performance and work-life balance metrics. It is pretty useful to use such information when planning future projects.

You can have access to details like how much time your team spends in meetings.

Motion’s features

Let’s continue with Motion’s features!

Calendar app
Motion calendar feature

Managing your personal and work tasks across different calendars, like Gmail and Outlook, can get pretty challenging. But with Motion, you can bring the Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook Calendar together into a single view.

Motion calendar settings

If you go to settings and click on the “calendars” tab, you can add your calendars with just one click. It is super easy.

Bringing your calendar management into one tool is really efficient. You not only see your personal and work calendar items simultaneously, but you also plan your weekly to-do list much easier and add calendar events smoothly.

The best thing is that you can just drag and drop your calendar events to move them, and you can create tasks from this view as well.

Automated scheduling
Motion app review scheduling tool

Motion not only integrates your calendar events into one single place, but it also uses AI scheduling to ensure you can meet all the deadlines and focus on high-priority tasks.

You can create tasks using your calendar view, and you can also make changes here. Personally, I used the “all task tab” to manage tasks. Once you create the task, Motion will automatically schedule tasks based on your availability, priorities, and settings.

During my Motion review, I found the scheduling tool to be the most exciting one. The smart scheduling feature is useful for loading your tasks in the task hub, and it lets Motion find the best timeslot to complete them.

Motion auto-scheduling

Nevertheless, before scheduling tasks, it makes sense to add your working hours, timeslots for personal activities, and more. You can do this in the settings menu using the schedules option.

If your task takes more time than you think, and you have no time to finish it or other tasks, Motion will reschedule based on your priorities, deep work hours, preferences, and personal events.

Motion designed its auto-scheduling feature based on how the most productive people work daily. However, if Motion schedules your tasks to an ideal time, you can just simply drag and drop, and Motion will learn from it.

Let’s continue this Motion app review with the meeting scheduler features!

Meeting assistant
Motion meeting scheduler

Motion’s meeting scheduler helps you and others to book time with you. Motion uses booking links to simplify appointment scheduling.

To access the booking link feature, hit the “booking links” option at the top. Here, you can select which booking link you want to send, but you can also make changes when it should show you as available.

For example, I prepared a new schedule for me called “Meetings,” and Motion will only show the timeslots I gave in this schedule. However, you can customize it in more detail.

Motion app booking link

You can add buffer time and date range or limit the number of days for the meetings. Once you finish the customization, you can just share the link, and they can access your booking page.

Overall, the meeting scheduler feature assists you with automatic scheduling, limiting the daily meetings, and displaying preferred meeting times to others. I particularly loved during my Motrion app review that it offers many options to personalize your booking page.

Motion app review booking page

Ultimately, this is a valuable feature for virtual meetings, as it eliminates the constant back-and-forth communication and helps find a suitable time slot for virtual meetings.

Task management
Motion task management feature

Motion’s task management feature is a powerful tool for developing more efficient tasks and time management. It allows you to smoothly add and assign new tasks to you or your teammates, while the tasks dashboard provides a clear overview of tasks in progress and those that have not been completed yet.

Having a customizable central hub for your tasks can make your life easier. You can overview your outstanding tasks and projects on a list or in a board view.

When adding a task, you can select the assignee, priority, duration, start date, due date, and when to auto-schedule it.

What I recognized during my Motion app review is that you can add tasks from almost all the pages. It is a small feature, but quite useful to ensure you add and manage tasks with the highest efficiency.

We all know there are times when it is all about firefighting. You need to jump in an important Google Meet or Microsoft Teams call, or simply some important tasks come up. With a single click, Motion’s automatic scheduling reorganizes your tasks based on your preferences and priorities.

An automated task manager like Motion can boost your productivity in many ways. Beyond helping you manage and track your focus time and tasks effectively, it simplifies task creation, prioritization, and time tracking and fosters team collaboration.

Project management solution
Motion as a project management software

One of the key differences between Motion and most productivity apps is that Motion is an all-in-one tool. This is where it is quite similar to Notion.

Motion is a lightweight project management software that has all the tools to organize projects. It works similarly to the task manager feature.

When setting up a project, you can specify the due date, add priority notes, and assign tasks to your team members. Additionally, you and your teammates can leave comments under each project and add new tasks if necessary.

Motion project management views

It was also great that Motion offers several view options like Gantt chart, Kanban boards, and list views. Also, you can apply filters and easily select, move, edit, or manage projects.

After you add the tasks, Motion will take it from here and schedule the tasks using its AI task management features. So, after you add a project, it makes sense to check your Motion calendar to see the upcoming tasks.

As you can see, Motion updated my calendar with the new tasks. It found the empty timeslots based on my preferences and automatically scheduled all the tasks. Compared to many project management tools, Motion not only helps you with the project management itself but also ensures that you will complete the tasks on time.

Motion’s project management feature has all the functions to manage small business projects and workflows. Essentially, the more projects and tasks you give, the more accurate your schedule will become.

Overall, using Motion for your project management can almost entirely automate your project planning, and you can focus on the tasks.

Team collaboration

Motion has strong team collaboration features as well. You can track each team member’s plan and priorities using the team schedule feature.

It is also great that they designed Motion for teams. So, whenever you add a project, you can assign tasks and communicate on the same page.

Motion’s mobile version

You can use Motion through its desktop app, web version, and mobile apps. You can use mobile devices on iOS and Android as well.

Personally, I used the iOS version, and it worked pretty fine for me. An additional plus for me is that their developer team frequently updates Motion.

User interface

Now, let’s take a look at both productivity apps’ user interfaces!

Reclaim AI’s user interface

Reclaim AI's calendar view with the synchronized Google Calendar

Reclaim AI stands out for its user-friendly design, offering an intuitive experience. The learning curve is swift, even if you are unfamiliar with similar tools. The drag-and-drop functionality ensures that making changes and adding tasks is smooth.

Motion’s user interface

Motion user interface

Motion has a simple user interface. I would not call it beautiful, but rather practical. You can easily navigate on its pages, and it is easy to find its tools.

Compared to Reclaim AI, Motion has a less intuitive user interface, and maybe it would be great if there were more colors. Nevertheless, I appreciated the option to change between numerous themes.

Integrations

It is time to check the integration options in the Reclaim AI vs Motion battle!

Reclaim AI’s integrations

Reclaim AI's integrations

Besides integrating Reclaim AI with your Google Calendar, it offers many integration possibilities for project management apps and other third-party applications.

You can integrate Reclaim AI with Google Tasks, Todoist, Asana, Jira, ClickUp, and HubSpot.

Seamless project and task integrations from other third-party apps will help you avoid missing some important projects or tasks during the week. Moreover, integration can be a lifesaver if you use multiple tools daily.

Motion’s integrations

Motions integrations

Motion offers numerous integrations. You can connect it with Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, iCloud Calendar, Siri, Zapier, and more.

Utilizing the Zapier integration, you can access an additional 7,000 third-party apps. So, Motion is quite good in terms of integrations.

My experience

Here, I show my experience with both Motion and Reclaim AI!

My experience with Reclaim AI

What sets Reclaim AI apart are the thoughtful details in its features. Features like templates for habits and recurring tasks may seem like a tiny addition, but they save time and add an extra layer of convenience. The customization options give you a better overview of your days.

I love that they have sufficient integration options with project management apps and are also working on integrations with other apps.

Reclaim is not just a time saver but can help you relieve all the stress coming from the calendar Tetris.

Overall, Reclaim AI is a great tool for busy people. I think it can help a lot to keep you focused while maintaining your work-life balance. It is an easy-to-use tool with many tutorials and guides, so you won’t have a long learning curve.

It has very reasonable pricing and is packed with valuable features. For me, its real limit is the lack of a mobile app. If you can get over it, I believe you should really check out this productivity tool.

My experience with Motion

During the Motion app review, the first thing that came up was that the navigation was pretty straightforward. It was also easy to locate all the key features and start using them.

However, I would say it has a steep learning curve compared to most of the productivity tools. For example, it took me 10-15 minutes to set up my booking page and find all the relevant options for this.

The good news is there are many tutorial videos and articles, so you do not have to find the solution for all your issues.

Moreover, Motion provides users with many customizable options to make sure they will not miss any important information. Entering tasks, changing existing tasks, or adding new tasks to a project work smoothly for me.

I particularly liked Motion as a project management software and scheduling tool. It is a great combination to create projects fast.

All in all, I had a very pleasant experience with using Motion in my daily work life.

Pricing

Here, I will show you both productivity apps’ pricing models to see which one is better.

Reclaim AI’s pricing

Reclaim AI's pricing

Reclaim AI has a variety of plans and many discount offerings. Furthermore, Reclaim AI offers a free 14-day trial, so you can try Reclaim’s features to decide whether they suit your needs.

Free plan

Reclaim AI offers a free plan that includes 1 scheduling link, 1 smart meeting, 3 habits, 1 calendar sync, limited integrations, and 3-week scheduling range. While it is great that Reclaim AI has a free plan, as there are tools that only have paid versions, such as Motion, these limits make Reclaim AI ideal for personal use.

Personally, I run an SEO agency, and my site and the one calendar sync and scheduling link are just not enough.

Paid plans

The starter plan is $8 monthly if you choose the yearly plan. You can utilize it for up to 10 users; it provides 3 scheduling links, 3 smart meetings, an 8-week scheduling range, unlimited habits, calendar sync, and integrations, and it includes the analytics feature as well. It is a good choice for professionals or smaller teams.

The business plan was designed for teams and has all the features with unlimited scheduling links, calendar sync, integrations, 12-week scheduling range & more. It is 12$ per month per user, and you can use it for up to 100 seats.

Reclaim AI also offers an enterprise plan for large businesses where you get additional support.

Ultimately, Reclaim AI’s pricing is very reasonable compared to many other competitors on the market.

Discounts

Currently, Reclaim AI offers four types of discounts:

  • Education: 50% discount for twelve months
  • Non-profit: 20% discount for three years
  • Startup: 20% discount for three years
  • Switching Providers: 20% discount for six months

While the first three discount options are self-explanatory, the switching providers’ discounts may need clarification. You are eligible for this discount if you switch from Clockwise, Motion, or Calendly. So, if you are unsatisfied with one of these AI tools, you should apply for a discount.

Motion’s pricing

Motion pricing

Motion has the following pricing structure with a one-week free trial.

There is a significant difference between the annual and the monthly plan. While the individual plan is $19, if you opt for the annual plan, the monthly plan will cost you $34 per month.

Therefore, if you decide to commit to Motion after the free trial, it’s definitely more cost-effective to choose the annual plan.

The individual plan includes all the features I showed you before. So, you can access the scheduling tool, meeting assistant, task, and project management features.

Compared to other scheduling tools, it might seem expensive. However, it is worth mentioning that Motion is more than just a scheduling app. It can effectively replace task management and project management tools.

The Business Standard plan is $12 per month per user if picking the annual plan. In terms of features, the main difference between individual and team plans is the collaboration tools.

Furthermore, Motion offers a Business Pro plan as well for teams of 15 users or more. Motion applies customized pricing here.

Reclaim AI’s pros and cons

Considering all the factors, these are the pros and cons I found after my Motion vs Reclaim AI review.

Reclaim AI's pros and cons

Reclaim AI’s pros

Reclaim AI is an easy-to-use calendar app that can help a lot with dealing with a busy schedule.

Furthermore, it also works as a great task management app. I loved how easy it is to add a task, and Reclaim AI will do the rest.

Moreover, it is a simple meeting scheduling tool compared to other tools. Reclaim AI eliminates the back-and-forth process of setting up meetings with the scheduling links feature.

During my Reclaim AI review, I realized that it offers a reasonable price for its features compared to other competitors.

Reclaim AI’s cons

One of the biggest cons is that Reclaim AI does not have a mobile version. It would be very useful if I could use Reclaim AI on mobile as well.

Also, a direct integration with Outlook would be a valuable addition. The good news is, it’s almost here.

Motion’s pros and cons

Now, let’s take a look at Motion’s pros and cons!

Motions pros and cons

Motion’s pros

To summarize, Motion is an all-in-one app for scheduling, and calendar, task, and project management. It can replace not only one app in your tool stack but at least two or three.

It is valuable that Motion integrates with all your calendars. This way, you can track all your calendar events in one place.

Furthermore, I think it is an efficient project management tool for small teams.

And lastly, Motion is a straightforward app. I enjoyed how easy it is to add tasks, sub-tasks, or projects, and Motion will do the rest for you.

Motion’s cons

On the other hand, I also had some small issues with Motion. The biggest con for me is that Motion has no free plan with limited features. I understand many of you are just looking for a free scheduling tool without needing the project or task management tools. For those, Motion might not be the best alternative.

Also, while Motion is an artificial intelligence-based tool, I did not find the AI features to be that massive. The auto-scheduling feature works fine, but apart from this, there are no other AI capabilities built into Motion.
