I completely agree with this. This program is NOT worth the hassle of having to sign in almost EVERY TIME you have to use an “advanced” feature, such as OCR, and I too have a perpetual license. And if you have an older version, they have all sorts of popups that interfere with the use of the program!

In reviewing Tony’s comment, this certainly has the feel of a bait-and-swtich.

And the tech support certainly is an exercise in frustration, creating the false impression that installing something “newer” will help: I did this once, and I refuse to do this again!

My issue with this software is that the tab key does not work. It only creates a space. The company is giving me the runaround by claiming I need a “table feature” when I sent them a video of a one line piece if text. They also say they don’t give refunds (I bought the lifetime version) for “non-technical” issues.

After about a year I’ve encountered the pop ups for subscription when I have a perpetual license. And the AI customer service is useless. I think this is bait and switch plain and simple. I have version 9 and just to be sure it wasn’t upgraded to a newer one I downloaded from my account page the software but still get the prompts. This is an outrage!

I am a long time PDF Element customer. I recently upgraded to the latest PDF Element. I wish I had stayed with the earlier version. Now I take three times as long to do the same work. What a dog!!!

Brag on it all you want. What they had earlier was simple to use. Not what they sell now.
