MeetGeek is a free AI meeting assistant that transcribes, records and summarizes online meetings and audio or video files. MeetGeek supports numerous languages, and you can transcribe meetings using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.

It uses technologies like natural language processing and speaker recognition. Natural language processing helps you understand what you are saying during online meetings. At the same time, speaker recognition gives a speaker ID for each participant in the online meetings so you can track who said what.

Now, let’s move on to MeetGeek’s key features.

Key features

Here, I break down the key features I used when utilizing MeetGeek for my meetings.

Transcription

Whenever you join virtual meetings on Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, MeetGeek will automatically transcribe such meetings. It supports more than 60 languages and can be an ideal tool for teams using multiple languages. If you check the settings, you can also add your preferences to which meeting you want MeetGeek to join.

MeetGeek can transcribe meetings and files as well. Whether it is a file or a virtual meeting, it provides accurate transcriptions based on my experience. Just like with any other AI meeting assistant, the audio quality impacts the transcription accuracy.

During my MeetGeek review, I used my PC’s built-in microphone and experienced over 95% transcription accuracy. That said, MeetGeek is definitely among the most accurate AI note-takers I’ve tried. I only had similar results with Fellow, Fathom, and Bluedot.

MeetGeek divides the transcription into different parts using speaker ID-s and uses timestamps to easily track who said what and when.

Recording

MeetGeek auto-records meetings using AI voice agents that join calls on your behalf. You can easily share the video recording alongside the transcriptions and meeting notes with your team members. It can be particularly useful during a recruitment process, for instance.

These agents attend scheduled calls, listen to the conversation, record the meeting, and generate transcripts and AI summaries without requiring any manual action once they are set up.

Voice agents are especially useful for recurring meetings or busy schedules, as they ensure that every conversation is captured even when you do not actively manage recordings. They work quietly in the background and handle the entire note-taking process from start to finish.

In addition to the voice agents, MeetGeek records your calls whenever you join the meetings. It also offers a bot-less recording option if you don’t want a bot to occupy a space.

AI meeting summaries

Based on my two years of experience with AI meeting assistants, I think MeetGeek offers the best AI meeting summaries. It is fascinating how it breaks down each part of the meetings into tasks, next steps, concerns, facts, and decisions.

The automated summaries help you quickly scan the key points that were discussed during the call without reading the whole transcription. Furthermore, if you click on the “summary” tab, you access the shareable meeting summaries that you can forward to your team members with one click. You can edit these meeting notes to add or remove specific points from your virtual meetings.

AI chat

AI chat in MeetGeek works like a shortcut to your meeting history.

I mostly used it to double-check details from past meetings, especially when I could not remember where something was mentioned. Once you have more meetings stored in MeetGeek, this feature becomes genuinely useful, as it helps you find information without reopening multiple transcripts.

Meeting folders

MeetGeek calls the folders sections, but the purpose is the same. It helps you to structure your virtual meetings into different folders. For example, you can create a section for team meetings, another one for customer feedback calls, and one for 1:1 meetings.

Whenever you click on one of the sections, you will access all the meetings collected in that place and their transcriptions, recordings, and meeting notes.

Conversation intelligence

MeetGeek’s meeting insights feature, now referred to as conversation intelligence, analyzes not only what was said during meetings but also how the conversation unfolded. It provides sentiment analysis and key behavioral metrics such as silence rate, participation levels, talk time distribution, punctuality, and overall engagement.

Utilizing this feature will help you get an idea of your and your team’s meeting culture while also assisting you in increasing your meeting efficiency. Nevertheless, this feature can be critical for sales teams. By analyzing your past meetings, MeetGeek provides key insights and data, enabling you to improve your sales pitch and close deals faster.

Compared to the AI note-takers I tried so far, MeetGeek offers the most advanced meeting analytics features.

Meeting templates

MeetGeek allows you to use the default meeting templates or create new ones. Each meeting template has a different structure. Whether it is a weekly team meeting, project management, or 1:1 call, you can create different meeting templates.

I did not really use this feature because I do not have many different types of meetings. But I can see how it could be useful.

Team collaboration features

First, you can consolidate all your virtual meetings into one searchable and secure location. This is a great way to create transparent team communication. By automatically sharing knowledge with others, you can minimize the number of meetings you participate in, as you can go through the meeting notes whenever you have time for it.

Additionally, you can share meeting notes, transcription, and recordings with a few clicks so you can keep your team members in the loop effortlessly. Compared to the traditional way, when you have to upload the meeting recordings, it is way faster.

MeetGeek’s integrations

MeetGeek supports +8000 integrations, so you can use this AI meeting assistant with your favorite tools. It is great that you can connect MeetGeek to HubSpot. It automatically syncs your client’s meeting content and key highlights with HubSpot, so you do not need to switch between the two apps.

Also, you can connect MeetGeek with Slack, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and many other third-party apps.

MeetGeek has a user-friendly interface, and you can quickly find every key feature you need to use this tool effectively daily. I really loved that only the main features are displayed on the homepage. So, thanks to this intuitive layout, the learning curve is pretty fast.

The Free plan includes 3 hours of transcription per month, 3 months of transcript storage, and 1 month of audio storage. While many AI note-taking apps offer unlimited transcription in the free version, MeetGeek compensates for the limited transcription minutes with numerous available features.

If using the free plan, you will access the AI summaries, meeting insights, folders, file uploads, and searching functions. So, in terms of features, MeetGeek has a quite generous free plan. When it comes to meeting insights, most of the AI note-taking apps offer this feature in paid plans.

The Pro plan is for professional and small teams that have more meetings. It includes all the features in the free plan, plus 20 hours of transcription per month, 1 year of transcript storage, and 6 months of video storage. Besides the features you can use in the free plan, you will get access to meeting templates, AI tools, and integrations.

The Business plan is ideal for teams and individual professionals who want to get the full MeetGeek experience. It offers unlimited transcription, unlimited transcript storage, and 12 months of video storage. With the business plan, you will access some team collaboration features, a personalized bot name, a custom dictionary, and meeting insights for the whole team.
